Proud PORTFOLIO MOMENTS 2022

The last few years have certainly been tumultuous and unexpected with twists and turns coming faster than ever, so it’s all we can do to stay balanced and calm. A silver lining of these times seems to be that there is now even more of a sense of gratitude when things simply feel “normal”.

Home is the place we can retreat to in order to feel that normality, somewhere familiar and comforting. As a design company, our aim has always been to produce the very best homes for our clients prioritising their comfort, safety and happiness. We are delighted when our thoughtfulness is recognised and commented on by our list of wonderful clients, many of whom return to us again and again.

This past year we have worked again with several of these wonderful returning clients. Last year we handed over a UK home to a client who has now asked us to design her new property in the South of France. We also completed a full refurbishment of a large family home in Notting Hill for a client whose flat and offices we had worked on in the past. And now, once again finding ourselves in France, we are busy completing a full refurbishment of a chalet nestled in the Alps for clients who we have worked with a number of times in the past and who continue to be a delight to collaborate with – we plan to hand over to them just in time for their Christmas festivities so photos on our website to follow – watch this space!

Friends of our clients often find their way to us via recommendations as well, and one such project is a beautiful apartment in central London that we are currently busy working on.

The joy of working with familiar clients is that we know their wants & needs, but we always get a real buzz from working with new clients too.  The challenge and fun of getting to know exactly what they might be dreaming of keeps us on our toes and ensures we can integrate the new and exciting design ideas we are constantly exploring.    This year we have worked with lots of new clients in London and beyond.  In this world of ‘Zoom’ we only meet some of these clients at the end of their project when they move in. This was the case with a family duplex in Chelsea for international clients who are relocating to London, and we are also about to hand over a penthouse overlooking the Thames to a family we feel we know so well, but are still yet to met in the flesh!

Our commercial work continues too. Clients who run a leading barrister’s chambers in central London have handed over another part of their vast building for us to update, trusting in our keen eye for transforming historical spaces to suit the modern world, which has become one of our many specialities. In addition to all of this, our collaboration with developers continues at pace and we are truly flattered and delighted to be a “go-to” recommendation to the team at the iconic Battersea Power Station development where we have worked on several new homes for the lucky new residents there. Throughout 2022 International projects have been a key part of our business, including another show apartment completed in the summer in Antibes - the first one we designed had sold lock, stock and barrel.

From a business viewpoint,  we are excited to launch our long awaited updated website showcasing some of our favourite projects and we have condensed our online furniture collection, Th2 Studio, to sit beside our projects on this one, go-to website.

Our furniture line continues to go from strength to strength and as with our interior design service, clients return again and again. We have honed the collection to include only our favourite pieces designed by our own team which guarantees style, comfort and quality.

The final flourish to this year has been our own project – we have moved to a wonderful new studio space in leafy Richmond.  Situated in a building full of character which used to be a printworks many years ago, we converted a tired and rather dated space in to a sleek and stylish new studio for our team to work from.  With exposed brick walls and large crittal windows where natural light floods in, we immediately feel at home and have created our very own sanctuary here - to work, eat, come together and just “be”

Happy New Year and let’s hope 2023 is filled with peace, calm and good health for everyone.
